Molly lived in Pennsylvania and started working professionally when she was a teenager in Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her first professional production was The Snow Queen. After that, she portrayed Little Red Ridinghood in the Arden Theater s production of Into the Woods for which she was nominated for a Barrymore Award. In 2002, she played the same role as Into the Woods in Broadway at the age of fifteen and was awarded an Drama League Award nomination. Molly was also part of the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, in 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a member in the Triangle Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree 2008. in Religious Studies. Also, she appeared in Disney's College Road Trip, playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly started her acting career following having completed her Off-Broadway stage debuts, such as End Days and The Wonderful Maladys at HBO Pilot. Molly was a part of numerous regional plays, among them The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee produced by Barrington Stage Company in 2008 and North Shore Music Theatre's 2010 production The Diary of Anne Frank at the Westport Country Playhouse in which Molly performed the role of Anne. Molly is best known as the character Ali the teenage daughter, in Paranormal Activity 2, a 2010 film in which Jack Burditt wrote and directed the ABC comedy Last Man Standing starring Tim Allen.
