Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. She was born and raised on a council estate south of London. When she was 14, she attended The Brit School. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. She then was the lead in Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie in six episodes each from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her theatre credits comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut on the drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast for The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the ABC drama series Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she was set to be leaving the series following one guest appearance on the very first series of the 3rd. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe and her partner for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and also he played part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a huge family living in Hamilton, Ontario. Her four older brothers were also present including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey throughout the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley had never been able to walk. She would dance. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe, until she finished high school. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the honor of "top Soloist".
